Neuvirth Gets The Nod
Not that it matters. This series is all but put to bed, but a necessary switch to maybe fire some sparks. Hindsight is 20/20, but I wouldn’t have minded this move for Game 3 (again, it wouldn’t have mattered). Mason hasn’t gotten much help but he obviously hasn’t been on top of his game, brain farts excluding. Maybe, just maybe Neuvirth can come out hot against his former team and salvage a bit of respect from this series. Hakstol is switching some other stuff up, too: Schenn is replacing Voracek on the top line. Bellemare is suspended, so Ryan White was shifted from right wing to center on the fourth line. Moves that won’t mean DICK unless the top dogs become visible for once (I hate this squirt but dammit, this is embarrassing) –
Again, if shit gets out of hand just send Ray Emery out in street clothes. Go down swinging.
